The unimaginable happened this morning at 0530am, Jake woke up as normal for his bottle but was a little hot so we gave him some Calpol, he then started to shake and fit uncontrollably.

Pleased to announce the birth of Jake Oliver Steeper born this evening at 1955 at 8lb 4oz.
Mum and baby doing super in what is a very bittersweet emotional time for us.
We will now take a few days away to get Jake home and conquer the mental barriers of taking him home.

I find this offensive. After loosing our son last year due to an incident in a nursery, which left him brain stem dead, the NHS showed us nothing but love, care and couldn't have made my sons final moments any better. I will never forget his doctors and nurses.

Our son went to nursery, and never came home.. suffered catastrophic brain damage after choking on a substantial amount of food, inappropriate for his age.

A year ago today we said our final goodbyes to Oliver. It was an absolutely beautiful service at Charing Crematorium and we still can't thank everyone involved enough for making it so.

For a while now we have been wondering what to do with Oliver's ashes. Only at a craft fair we spotted this picture, his love of tree's and his memory bench incorporated, his ashes now are enclosed in the bottom (hidden). Finally at peace and with us at home 💙

Please, please please ask to see the training certificates and peadriatric first aid certificates, a decent nursery will not object. Please also make sure your babies food needs are documented and are clear as daylight on any forms. Sadly my little boy didn't come home from one.
