After expanding to 4 full-time Splint Cup Series teams, 23XXL Racing has purchased a brand new shop in McAllen, Texas. Team president and driver "Chunk" Charles Wagon was quoted following the announcement, asking "I wonder if that cheese in the basement is still safe to eat".

The Knott Selected family, who were hired specifically for this test, have not been allowed to sleep in the pits or leave the track due to a clerical error, so they will be very sleep deprived today. A few of them have went to extreme measures to get some shut eye.
