There is a possibility of increased fire activity today due to increased winds, and the potential for new fires to start throughout the region with lightning in the forecast, and very little rain expected.

The TNRD EOC is in contact with Ministry of Transportation and Transit (MOTT) and BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) regarding the Mine Creek Fire, burning adjacent to the Coquihalla Highway.
