I get lots of msgs and have meetings with people that are wanting help with basic marketing for their content/brand. They make a good product or content but aren't getting the reception they expect. So here's a thread on the basics.

Question for those under 35 yrs old:. When buying a car, do any of you actually consider the brand Buick? What about Lincoln?. I’m just curious how those brands plan to survive now that most of their client base are elderly.

As a kid I was only worried about having a cool car, a fun motorcycle and having enough money to pay the bills. Turned 30 and then worried about lots of other stuff. Turned 50 and it’s back to just cars & motorcycles. Other stuff is overrated.

Can't stand it when employees endlessly complain about customers. I've never adopted the mantra of "the customer is always right" because honestly they aren't, sometimes they are unreasonable & just wrong. However they are why we are here & have jobs at all. Adjust your attitude.

Remind people you care about that they’re loved and appreciated. The world is full of people that’ll tear them down. It’s your job to build them up.

Do you want to be more valuable at your work?. Next time you see a problem don’t just complain about it . Think about it. Figure out solutions, then go to your boss & show them. Doing this multiple times will make you extremely valuable . Only complaining just makes you annoying.

DOGE is shutting down NOAA radar facilities here in Oklahoma . Right before tornado season…. The best meteorologist in the world work here due to the severe weather & they have all said that this closure is detrimental & puts people in danger. Oklahoma had 154 tornados last year.

Having a career that is personally fulfilling and pays you enough is better than a career you don't enjoy that pays more or makes you influential/famous. Somewhere along the line we have confused money & popularity with happiness & general wellbeing.
