Lay out your vision. Explain everything in detail and with great intent. I ask a lot of questions to my staff, I like information to then form my approach. There is no right or wrong approached do it from it heart and good things will come. I’m here to help if I can! #newcoaches.

You have to trust yourself first, trust that you hired the right assistants and surround yourself with like minded coaches and people. Constantly work on your coaching relationships. Your assistant will bridge your vision and message to your team.

It has taken a lot of stress away but there’s still a lot of anxiety as someone who has tried controlling every aspect of the program. Wondering how things are going, wondering if players are communicating, wondering what they’re working on etc.

New coaches: I want to help in any way I can. A great leader delegates extremely well and trusts those around them. I’ve struggled delegating my entire coaching career. Grateful to have GREAT ASSISTANT COACHES beside me. This has been the first summer I decided to delegate duties.
