Linda Tirado @KillerMartinis is in hospice. She's dying from the police shot that cost her her eye at the 2020 protests. She's known for things like mutual aid, ph calls to ppl online having a hard day, & her writing, incl a viral piece about being poor.

As a result, Linda lost her eye and now has terminal dementia related to the traumatic brain injury. If you're able to help at all with medical and funeral expenses, or to support her children, please follow the links in the tweet above.

This a request for help for a podcast guest who is dying. In 2016 we interviewed @KillerMartinis, American author, photographer and anti-poverty campaigner. In recent years, while photographing protests, police shot her in the face with rubber bullets.

A 1 star review said we're 'becomming too political'. Our second episode in 2013 was about the politics of education funding, and a constant refrain is that education is inherently political because it's shaped by political decisions. We're proudly political. Always.
