The campus of @UNTHSC is buzzing today as we welcome over 230 new students for orientation. They heard from TCOM Dean Dr. Lisa Nash, a great message on becoming an osteopathic physician from Dr. Curtis Galke & team-building activities with the Class of 2028 orientation leaders!

Residencies are underway for TCOM graduates, rotations begin soon for our Year 3 and 4 students, and a new TCOM class is just three days out. It’s a busy July, but have a safe, festive, and happy 4th of July if you’re out celebrating and having a good time. #4thofJuly

Five years ago, TCOM brought patient safety to the forefront with our patient safety course. Now, a new study published in the @JOsteoMed shows the course is delivering results. The class is making health care professionals better & our profession safer.

He’s starting Year 4 of medical school next week, but TCOM’s @BrentonStucki left quite the impression with our friends at @CookChildrens . He has been recognized by the Cook Children’s ENT Department as the Best Medical Student of the Year with interest in an ENT residency.👏

So many from our Class of 2022 are completing their residencies and are now attending physicians. Dr. Anisha Mahajan is one of those and was awarded Hospitalist of the Year at @bswhealth_Templ after completing her Internal Medicine residency. Congratulations!

It might be summer, but our Street Medicine Coalition isn’t taking time off from providing health screenings & handing out donations to our community members most in need. Led by Dr. Christopher Rheams, TCOM students continue to bring compassion day and night, great work!

It was a picturesque evening to celebrate, reflect and renew for the Class of 2027 at the Student Clinician Ceremony. They gathered for one final time as a group before heading out into the hospitals and clinics across Texas to continue their training. Good luck Class of 2027!

Our @BSWH_FW_GME squad is preparing for their residency in specialties across the board. TCOM grads from our Class of 2025 will be starting soon in Internal Medicine, OBGYN, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery and a Transitional Year. These doctors will be difference makers!

A volunteer effort for the ages. #TCOM first and second-year students turned in 23,361 volunteer hours this past year, serving others and giving back to our community. They were on the streets, in the schools, and all around making a difference. A job well done by both classes!
