Great work @EHendricks_MD! Patients with NCP in Appalachia are more likely to live in rural communities <5k population, have higher LDL-C, HTN, DM, and older age. Important for risk stratifying our WV population. #YesCT @ACCinTouch @ImWvu.
Patients in Appalachia with CAC score 0 and NCP on coronary CTA were more likely to have HTN, HLD, T2DM, higher ASCVD and total Morise scores, and live in rural communities compared to patients with CAC score 0 without NCP @TCMillerMD @WVUHeart @HamiraniYasmin @SeherBerzingi

-26% of our patients were found to have presence of NCP on CCTA. -Traditional risk factors such as older age, DM, tobacco use, higher LDL levels, and HTN were predictors for NCP presence . -NCP presence was an independent predictor for future adverse CVEs within 2 years.
