What else can you do with this franchise that hasn't already been done in the theme park setting on a massive scale? The prequel series bombed. You've adapted just about everything from the OG series. And the only new stuff from the franchise coming through is a remake of the OG

I'm sure I'm going to enjoy this just like I do with all of the other Potter stuff that they have. But word is bound, I'm just kind of over it.

@TCJaalin I’m the opposite, this is the land I’m most looking forward to and if you’ve read the books I think there are many ways they can continue to expand. The Forbidden Forest, The Whomping Willow, The Chamber of Secrets, Azkaban Prison, Quidditch, TriWizard Tournament, Godrics Hollow,…

@DivoAndTheCity I think they can do new attractions. We already pretty much have the forbidden Forest with hagrids so that's kind of already out. And we already have the whopping willow featured in an attraction. But I cannot see them doing a whole new land based off a HP.

@TCJaalin It’s also just… it’s based on the weakest films of her franchise, so my faith in it is so minuscule. It’ll have intense theming elements, but i can’t help but feel that there was some contract caveat that required this addition, because all I can ask is why?

@jordynmccrazy12 They got pretty far in development and all of it was going to be based off of fantastic beasts but now only half of it is on the other half is going to be set during the OG series. They're finally giving us ministry of magic which I think is just the final piece that was missin

@TCJaalin From a non-Potter fan POV this makes sense. But I think you underestimate Potter fandom and how far they can continue to push this before people think there’s enough.

@CoasterDevin Don't get me wrong a fandom is a fandom they gon ride regardless. Because what other major locations can you pull out to support another new land? When Universal eventually opens up their fourth gate I can't imagine them doing a 4th Harry Potter land

@TCJaalin Great hall dining experience, knight bus ride, chamber of secrets ride, Azkaban, shrieking shack dark ride, Quidditch World Cup (could be a whole land).

@goonie5555 Great Hall I can see, We already have a night bus meet n greet. I don't know if they want to do a night bus ride but all right. Azkaban I can see. I can't see a whole entirely in based off of the Quidditch World cup. I also don't know if major audiences even care

@TCJaalin Hard agree on all the points, except I do think that my growing dislike of the franchise directly correlates to the author (and fans of said author specifically) being such an evil person. Impossible to separate art from artist when said artist causes real world harm

@TCJaalin It’s gorgeous but of all the lands this is last on my list. Like you aside from JK just tired of Potter, we already have two lands and I can’t count how many merch locations. It’s just feels dragged out and over.

@TCJaalin Honestly my thoughts, i’m excited for the theming and how Universal is gonna do the attractions but I don’t really care for HP compared to something like HTTYD or Nintendo…

@TCJaalin Harry Potter's success has always hinged on aesthetics & luck. Reevaluation by fans/critics show how vapid or problematic the world is, & nothing past the original series has stuck, cuz the og books released at the right time to the right audience. All that luck ran out ages ago
