Yo, real talk, all the people saying Princess and the Frog won't fit in frontierland but for 20 years we're with splash mountain, which takes place in Georgia, gotta take a seat.
@TCJaalin
The ride doesn't take place in georgia though only the live action portions of the movie do, it takes placs in the fictional briar patch, which fits the aesthetic of frontierland. If they can make princess and the frog fit the land I'm ok with it.
@Giothebrownone
It takes place in Georgia or at least southern slavery America. You know where 90% of black people were when the writer of the book was steal their ideas. I'm done with this one. Next?

Is it confirmed that they will make the rethemed ride part of NOS at Disneyland? They might try to make it fit at Critter Country what would be so stupid

@DCAlover
Well it fits as a great interconnected land. Princess and the frog has critters and also New Orleans vibes so given that the ride is inbetween critter country and NOS it's perfect
@TCJaalin
Timeline wise it is a little off: BTMRR (which is supposed to be the most modern end of the land) is set in the 1880s while PatF is in the 1920s - but geography wise if anything this fits better than Splash as it is set further west. (thinking of the WDW verson)

the only location Splash Mountain ever specifies is "the briar patch" which is really not specific. The music & atmosphere feel cohesive with Frontierland and the sight lines flows. The only clues for when it takes place are the characters' clothes which could be interpreted
