Today was a dream ☁️ Thanks @epaleezeldin for working with @sarahshomegrown to divert/ donate truckloads of otherwise nutritious, “unmarketable” produce to Scott Air Force Base families. This was the first stop in @EPA’s inaugural Feed it Onward Pilot aimed at reducing food loss
Proud to announce EPA’s new Feed It Onward initiative to reduce food waste nationwide. Kicked off our first partnership in Southern Illinois this morning, where we worked with local farmers from Frey Farms to deliver a truckload of produce to our troops at Scott Air Force Base.
