The giveaway of public land to a massive private developer (Bartra Capital) is an absolute disgrace and no amount of buzzwords can disguise the fact that it's a deal that enriches the richest and shits on communities, as per usual. City Hall, 5pm tonight. Let's fight back!

We're outside REA Fitzgerald Chambers, a company that's profiteering from the misery of the housing crisis, incl charging ppl to attend viewings, using loopholes to evict tenants and hike rents Fight together, organise together, tenant power can take on and beat these vultures

MASI demands the end of direct provision, the right to work and education, and opposes deportation. "The right to work" is a grassroots campaign for the fully unrestricted right to work for all asylum seekers in this country.

As the image of Alaa Salah captivating a crowd during the #SudanUprising goes viral, we take this opportunity to reflect on the current moment in the history of global liberation struggles that sees incredible acts of strength and bravery by women rising up and taking the lead.

After all, Hollywood actors who star in 18's films aren't barred from making kid's movies. Is the difference here that these performers are making a conscious effort to expose children to the existence of LGBT people and perspectives? Is that what people are afraid of? The gay?

Moreover we as a society need to grow up and accept that sexuality exists and just because performers are involved in a project that embraces sexuality in an open and unapologetic way for an adult audience doesn't mean they're incapable of also producing child friendly content.

One can perhaps understand cancelling the event if there's a risk of disrruption or worse (it'd be inappropriate indeed to put kids on the front line of that) but we need to see an apology from @dlr_libraries for initially pushing the wrong-headed homophobic narrative.

This'll be fun. It's next Saturday, it's in Mountjoy Square, and it's hosted by @D_C_H_A. Come along, bring the kids.
https://t.co/7P9SJaGYpL Fundraiser last night was great fun but next week we're planning fun AND chocolate with a free family-friendly easter egg hunt in Mountjoy square for anyone in the area.

7th May 2019: I'll be in Dalymount Park Football Stadium, Phibsborough, Dublin. Talking about the struggle against racism and fascism in the 21st Century. Also, I don't know what a Direct Provision activist is. Issues bigger than DP. https://t.co/DP50wIH1lk

Yesterday we were contacted by a person who spent 5 years in Direct Provision. In that 5 years she was ostracised because she is HIV+. She had no privacy or support. Roommates would see her pills and share with other residents who made fun of her. You're cruel @CharlieFlanagan
