Ready to toss your jack-o-lantern? Don’t put it in the trash! Compost it! Pumpkins make soil healthy with lots of moisture and nutrients. If you don’t have a compost at home, bury it and say goodbye to excess waste in the landfill šŸ‘‹šŸ¼šŸŽƒ

Wondering if you can compost your pumpkin? Here’s a few tips on what will break down. If you’ve painted one, you can wash the paint off if possible or cut the painted portion away before composting. And don’t forget that if you don’t have a compost set up at home, just bury it!

Pumpkin rotting? Don’t throw it in the trash! Take it to a local community compost that is accepting pumpkins or bury it in your yard if you don’t have compost set up at home. For more information about starting compost at home, check out https://t.co/npnDqG9wdW

Not a fan of eating pumpkin? That’s okay, many farm animals love it! Find a local farm or sanctuary to donate your pumpkins to so they can become food for another creature!
