Jasmine Crockett: “This administration is racist. He has always been a racist. The culture is created at the top. We know that we have a racist at the top. Everybody has decided it’s okay to take off their hoods and mask up as ICE agents. It reminds me of the klan.”

We went from being 3/5 a person to now, about to have 1/5 voting power. And folks are still convinced that voting doesn't do anything. Meanwhile, white folks are voting persistently to take Black voting rights away.

#Vikings WR Justin Jefferson went undercover as a photographer for GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah’s annual headshot photo… and it’s HILARIOUS. Best video you'll watch today by far 😂😂😂 (via @NFLonPrime) https://t.co/Zin7n5SSFT

Yesterday’s Supreme Court hearing on the Voting Rights Act left no doubt about its future: the six Republican justices are going to gut the act and make it all but meaningless as a source of protection of Black voting rights. @ElieNYC offers his analysis. https://t.co/tEcjomPgeY

The ruling, when it comes, will be disastrous for Black voters and for Democrats.

Before Metro Council votes on adding reclassifying park rangers as park polICE...maybe we should read the room and chill out a minute. My latest in the CJ-- https://t.co/CNwjmVCPnk

Reclassifying Louisville's park ranger program will open access to training and funding, but many fear backdoor escalation of enforcement authority.

Justice JACKSON standing up for voting rights. 🔥 Louisiana: Plaintiffs said 'we want another majority-black district.' Jackson: No. They said 'we aren't receiving equal electoral opportunity because our votes are being diluted.' Louisiana: Same thing. Jackson: No, it’s not.

The Supreme Court's conservative justices appeared likely to gut Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act, a decision that would have massive consequences for the future of Black political representation in the South https://t.co/xBpYSgfmoq

The conservative justices appear ready to gut Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act. The only question is how.

Louisiana v. Callais is not just one case. It is the next step in a long-term Republican strategy to lock in political power through redistricting, the courts, and control of the law itself. Here’s how we got here ⬇️

Good news: By signing AB 1071 into law, @CAgovernor Newsom has taken the next step in efforts to address systemic racism in California. This law will strengthen the Racial Justice Act in California and is the bridge between promise and practice. More states should follow suit.

Today would’ve been George Floyd’s 52nd birthday. He should be here celebrating with his family but his life was stolen from them. George's legacy lives on in the global fight for justice. We honor him by continuing to demand dignity for every Black life. Rest in power, George.
