The lab had an amazing week in Galveston attending NASAs’ annual Human Research Program Investigators workshop. So exciting to catch up with our alums, collaborators and learn about amazing research conducted by the community 🚀👩‍🚀

BHP graduate student @PoonamKJosan and students from partnering SEAK lab, successfully led the crew training for our study for an upcoming HERA mission at NASA JSC. The crew will use our tool, a virtual assistant, to treat anomalies during long duration exploration missions 🚀 👩‍🚀

Congratulations to our alum Dr. Richard Whittle for setting the bar high and on being awarded the departments’ Robert Skelton Outstanding Dissertation award. We are so proud of you! 👏🚀

Last week we had an honor to host our incredible alumni @NathanWKeller for a guest lecture on the topic of “Breathing in Space”. Dr. Keller is currently working as Lead Specialist in Physiology at NASA’s Johnson Space Center. What a full circle moment! 🌕
