After a lot of research and reviews, i’ve decided to major in ā€˜Information Technology Management’ at WGU. Happy to document that process and go back to school overall.

When people say ā€œYou won’t survive in Cybersecurity if you don’t like to researchā€ it’s true. You need to read those long PDF & website documents/white papers, look through those Vendor forums, watch those YouTube videos and Webinars, etc. The answers are right there.

Low Voltage offers on the job training as well as Apprenticeships, the exams are open book for a license in your preferred state. Technical colleges also provide a class you can add to your resume that may be required for the industry.

I pivoted to Infrastructure because i really wanted to get comfortable with + understand the multiple layers of ā€˜Networking’ - There are so many jobs that you can get if you have that core foundation, and it will STILL lead you to a Cybersecurity career.
