I HATE the idea that a singer who writes their music is the superior artist. Whitney is not a singer-songwriter and she understood music better than most of her peers at her peak. Her peers include Michael, Janet, Mariah and Madonna. Kpop fans are so unserious.
NO. It’s my biggest pet peeve when fans dismiss songs not written by the artists themselves! The song can still be emotionally engaging and impactful even if it’s not written by the artist! And I say this as a lyric enthusiast.
