Many people newly diagnosed are making some insulin. The goal of our studies is to maintain insulin production for as long as possible. Research shows that maintaining insulin production results in fewer complications, better glucose control, and lower A1C levels.

T1D starts with a genetic predisposition, meaning you have certain genes that put you at higher risk of developing T1D. If you have a family member with T1D, you may be eligible for a free autoantibody risk screening.
