The cats out of the bag - the long awaited arrival of the SDK for SQL projects in Visual Studio is coming *soon*. More docs and info in the works, but meanwhile you can connect with us at
github.com
DacFx, SqlPackage, and other SQL development libraries enable declarative database development and database portability across SQL versions and environments. Share feedback here on dacpacs, bacpacs...
For all the Visual Studio users out there using SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT): you'll be able to use the SDK-style project file format for your SSDT projects with all its benefits. Coming soon...

It took too long for me to regularly use 2 entries in the VS Code explorer context menu that make working in the terminal more efficient 1️⃣"open in integrated terminal" (navigate quickly to a deeply nested folder) 2️⃣"copy relative path" (get a specific path right the first time)

“Bonded pair” is such a funny expression for dogs to indicate their codependence and willingness to shove one another out of the precious sunshine. (Yes, paws on the window, it’s never clean)

Before the WNBA resumes Thursday, we update our ranking of the 25 best players in the league. No. 1 was no debate. But where do Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark rank? Dearica Hamby, Kayla McBride and Chennedy Carter also break in. https://t.co/h0DN0A6aD3

I was working around the fire pit in the back backyard when a rabbit startled me by hurtling up the hill towards the house (and me). Turns out it was being chased by a bobcat that gave up when it noticed me.

Filmed a little something in the studios yesterday during #vslive! Can’t wait for folks to see what’s in the pipeline.

If you're building containers with docker and have enabled experimental features - you may want to disable SBOM indexing (unless you know you need it). Scout runs outside of the limits you set on the engine and will take 8-16GB of ram. https://t.co/ECZC0YGx0s

Part of the mulch project was the berry patch and the blueberry bushes are already saying thanks with plenty of berries 🫐 It’s amazing what survives my near negligence.

vi is often just what I need for file/script editing - and I find myself using it more for quick changes now with the copilot plugin installed. There'a a lot of places I don't enjoy the current user interfaces to AI, but this one feels good.

Before the rain marathon landed I had a bunch of weeding to do, so naturally I have a bunch of new bee photos now.

In this last round I've found that (mostly due to the impact of others) I'm not far off from my focus areas (yay) but the way I measure progress on the goals needs to evolve. Instead of monitoring velocity alone, I should also keep a close eye on breadth of progress.

Then I noticed that it came from diverting to be part of someone else's success. I was under-valuing partnership, mentorship, and coaching. Reality: I'm surround by some awesome folks who are rising to every occasion.
