Very relieved that after 843 days in Gaza the deceased hostage Ran Gvili has been brought home. My thoughts are with his family and the Israeli people. All the hostages have now finally been returned and the healing process can hopefully start. #bringthemback

Deeply concerned by the increasing settlement expansion and settler violence on the West Bank. The E1-project undermines prospects for long-term peace and the two-state solution, and must be reversed.

Horrific attack at Bondi Beach in Sydney targeting Jews celebrating Hanukkah. My thoughts are with those affected and their relatives. We must fight antisemitism in all its forms. As of now, we have not received any reports of Swedes being among those injured or killed.

A sigh of relief and happiness for many families today as they get to meet family members again after more than two years in captivity by Hamas. I share the happiness with the released hostages and their families, and I share the sorrow of the families that never get to meet

Today we mark two years since Hamas’ horrific terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, the deadliest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. We share in the sorrow of the families and express our hope for the swift and safe return of all the hostages, and for an end to this war.

Appalled and saddened by reports of an attack at a synagogue in Manchester, in which several people were killed and injured. The fact that this happened during the observance of the Jewish holiday Yom Kippur makes it all the more horrific. My thoughts are with all those

President Trump's commitment to bringing the war and unfathomable suffering in Gaza to an end is welcome. All parties must now work to achieve this goal. Palestinians and Israelis deserve to live in security, side by side, under a negotiated two-state solution.

On behalf of the EU and its member states, today I laid a wreath at the Nova festival site in memory of the victims of the October 7 massacre. We heard moving stories of bravery and resilience, including from paramedic Oshrit Hadad who courageously saved lives while under fire >

I strongly condemn the deadly terror attack at the Ramat Junction, which killed at least 5 civilians. Heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and a speedy recovery to the injured. Terrorism and violence against civilians are never justified.
