I invigilated a 3 hour exam yesterday. It was just lovely to see GenZ using pen and paper again. At the end of the 3 hours I said “congratulations on finishing, you missed a whole lot of stuff on TikTok though” and you could see them all flinch nervously.

The last (but certainly not the least) stop on my @EdithCowanUni collaboration grant was the fantastic team at Sydney Uni. They not had the patience to listen to me talk about @ORIGINSProject_ but we had a great chat over lunch. I've learned so much over this 5 days.

Today I learnt so much working with @MWslp and @NatalieMunro3 at sunny Griffiths Uni. Language transcription is changing and I'm trying to keep up! They were both so generous and patient with me. This @EdithCowanUni collaboration grant has been a fab opportunity.

I had a great chat with Suki Sadik on ABC Weekend Evenings last Saturday. We talked about late talkers, when to worry and what parents can do. If you want to listen, here is the link. My segment is up first :)

Around half of toddlers who aren’t chattering by age two will catch up later, but we can’t predict which ones.

Our new paper is now available online! We (@SuzanneMeldrum1, Lucinda Snyman and I at #ECUSpeech @MHS_ECU) replicated and extended an intervention study for late talking toddlers based on cross situational statistical learning procedures https://t.co/piLa5g8o5x

@HowardManns inspired this #Speakeasy episode about Aussie slang. Not the nicest. But it is out there, so you'd better know. Use this knowledge for good not evil, and be kind. With Tom Baddeley on @abcperth. Thanks Jackson and Brad for production. https://t.co/2fdbEkvgbk
