In a world of AI it’s now more important than ever for social media companies to ask for verification when setting up an account and for existing accounts. Passport, government id drivers licence etc. just like online banking do.

I read yesterday that a lot of comments and interactions on comments even down to arguments can now be bots arguing with each other. Imagine getting annoyed at a comment online & interacting with it only to realise it’s not even a human. Don’t take the bait on fake accounts.
