I teach IB Chemistry and high school chemistry, and I'm always interested in new ways to get my students to interact with and explore the science around them.

IB Visual Arts students are taking advantage of this gorgeous winter sunlight to create cyanotypes. They are experimenting with time, movement, and acids and bases to alter their prints. #CHSArt #CHSHome #IBVisualArts #Experimentation @ib_chs

My favorite family tradition is our monthly meal with all our DFW cousins. If everyone’s there, that’s 6 households and 22 people, including 11 kids, one dog, and of course frequently the addition of visiting out-of-town kin #CHSHome

So many of the techniques we already use for informal formative assessments can also be used to support linguistic learning #CISDESLBIL

Thanks to @inaturalist, my daughter and niece are discovering just how many types of grasshoppers there are, and my niece, who has always been pretty much afraid of nature, held a tiny toad! (And yes, we washed our hands!)

Get them thinking and questioning and growing. Show them that science is a process and a way of thinking, not a book of facts. #passiontag #CISDLearns
