In 1985 when SSTL was formed - Gabrielle Marigold was a school student in Bath with a passion for maths, science and art and later on, languages. Gabrielle joined SSTL in 2016 as part of the Flight Software Team, contributing to the Quantum mission and is now a Project Manager.

In 1985, when Surrey Satellite Technology Limited was born, Andrew Cawthorne was a schoolboy with a growing fascination for science and exploration. Fast forward 40 years and he now leads the company as Managing Director.

When SSTL was founded in 1985, Sam Cordes was working as a claims supervisor for an insurance firm. Fast forward to 2008, after taking time out to raise a young family, Sam joined SSTL – and she’s been a cornerstone of our Facilities team ever since.
