It’s unfortunate that those who spent a lifetime trying to preserve the unique nature and sensitive species and ecosystems of the valley are having it undone by continued development. It’s lucky that this is happening in Toronto where few care. @envirodefence @OntarioNature
@RNUP_NOW Unfortunately about the most ecologically damaging choice that could be made for a provincially significant wetland full of endangered species. Likely breaking federal SARA legislation if challenged in court.

Giving Tuesday is a nice after thought, a day after everyone has spent all their money on things; there is really nothing left for charitable giving. Instead consider a thoughtful Thursday and give before you spend. All creatures big and small really need your help.

All creatures big and small need our help, as the world around us deregulates and removes protections and laws. None of the ecosystems and species around us can call a politician, or vote for help. It’s up to all of us to help save the environment for the future.

Today is National Philanthropy Day, this day signifies the importance of working together for the common good. Philanthropic deeds come in all shapes and sizes — charitable giving, volunteering. The environment and nature has never needed it more.

Our teen program made a new discovery. The most upstream record of a Three-spined stickleback in the river system. A species often overlooked due to its small size. Males build a nest of plant-material glued together with spiggin, a protein produced in the kidneys.
