The Obutonde Project has seen Sawnettas harvest and share crop. So vegetables including broad beans, lettuce and leafy veg will go into nice stews and . We are holding on to some of our beautiful flowers to produce our tie and dye artwork.

SAWN 2O25 Away Days was at Copthorne Hotel Manchester / Rehoboth Living room in Stretford. Day 1 was Checking in with how far our 3 Yr strategy plan is going and if we are still true to SAWN vision and mission to re:strategise. Day 2 Team building and team bonding.

Week 2 of our ESOL classes with Oldham Lifelong Learning are going well. Sawnettas are learning basic English to be able to manoeuvre the challenging systems. Women are gaining confidence each week and enjoying the sessions.

We are blessed to have Dr Suriya Nayak to remind us that we are community rearchers because of our experiences and knowledge. We have also learnt about what makes a good researcher. Our women were very knowledgeable and listed all the qualities of a good researcher.

Benefits should motivate people to go to work and strive. People on current benefits systen are being forced to quit working becase they are receiving more at home and less when in work. Let us sign up this petition to change this system. https://t.co/nrkr0SHom8
