I have a new internet rule. Sage rule #1: If you post anything on the internet and it gets seen by more than 100 people, someone will post something stupid in the response, yet they will believe they are the smart one.

Many years ago, I got attacked strongly for trying to warn people not to push against everyone they disagreed with. Only attack if they attack first, and make sure they really wanted to hurt people. What is going on now, is what I was trying to stop.

I hate how so many people are using Red Note specifically in the science and the maker community. It has been over a year since Naomi Wu disappeared and we all know that wasn't a choice.

Side comment to this on AI. Started doing a bit over on @StarChartsRadio showing how bad AI can be. Called AI HUH?. Showing the mistakes it makes. AI is interesting but also it makes a lot of mistakes.
Lots of talk about AI. I think it can be good or bad. There are ways to use it and ways not to. My dad pointed out something to me though. The critiques of AI sure sound a lot like those of the camera 184 years ago . Some said the camera would be the death of art.

The similarities are interesting. we went from having to pay a painter and spend hours sitting for a portrait, to just clicking a button and getting a picture. Now we all have one in our pockets. We really do repeat history all the time, don't we?.

Also, TikTok's own documents were involved. They sent redacted sections to the court, but someone just put black boxes over the text in a PDF. A little copy-and-paste, and boom—the redacted areas were revealed.

Question for YouTubers. I uploaded a new video that was 1:14. I thought it would be listed on the shorts page. It is not, it is still listed in the normal videos. I don't see a setting to make something a short. What is going on?.
