if you’re in the bay area and play street fighter, pull up! this is easily one of the best locals out here. immaculate vibes, stacked players, and a $500+ bonus pot waiting. you dont wanna miss out!
⚡Super excited to announce the 1st #TrawmuhBond!! Our favorite NorCal Blanka (sorry, @PRBalrog), @TrawMuhh, will be donating $500 to this month's #FITS8 pot happening on the 22nd, so may the best player win! 🏁 GL to our players & thank you Trawmuh! 💕 ℹ:

> said I’d rather die than become an artist cuz it wasn’t a “safe” career choice > unhappy at uni, tried premed, compsci, etc > got addicted to league, did lots of fanart > took a semester break to try art as a career > art got stolen and sold on a mousepad, friend posted about

Competing with the world’s best players, making lifelong friends, and giving back to the scene is good enough for me 👊 Time quickly reminds us how fast life moves when you put down the controller. You can still compete but the sacrifices you make in your older years are more
Really sad to realise that age-wise for us older players (Tokido, Daigo, myself, Sako, Haitani, Itabashi Zangief and all the other 40's pros), this will be our last Street Fighter game. With each SF game going on for around 7 years before the new one, that will put many of us

Personally, decades of rhythm and fighting games have ruined my hands but trained my reactions. It's never been what is holding me back in fighting games, and I don't think it will be if I keep taking care of my mind and body.

Emphasis on training and sleep. Our reaction time for simple tasks reduces a few ms per decade. You can train to keep it fast. Sleep, attention, and intention to react play a huge role too. If you quit fighting games bc of age that's fine but don't cite reactions as the reason

People greatly overestimate how much reactions decline by age and how this can affect fighting game players. The real issue with age is hands and joint pains. Someone who is 50yo who trains, gets sleep, and eats healthy will prob have better reactions than a 20yo who doesn't.

We are basically the “first gen” that started from SF2, so I would argue there’s no precedent yet to count out players in their 50s, 60s and older. Bowling/golf/chess, etc. are not so age-dependent and I suspect FGs will ultimately fall into this category. So, speak for yourself!
