Yesterday I had the amazing opportunity to visit Bertha Kennedy Elementary School- one of many schools in the area who have made great strides in combatting learning loss & have seen great improvements in literacy among their students.

Thank you to the Minister of Education, @AdrianaLaGrange for visiting our school division and learning about our innovative literacy project! It was an honour to share our successes and efforts toward improving literacy education in our schools.

We are proud to have been one of the school divisions piloting this program. Our students who participated in the interventions and the 1-to-4 ratios made huge gains, and they are now performing at or above grade level after slipping below that threshold during the pandemic.
