Pretty sure this was done to make people believe that it's the US Govt's wallet, to then use it to manipulate the market.
Many people incorrectly labeled it, and as we saw yesterday, fell for the trap.
I think its worth for onchain people to look into this deeper.

Harder evidence comes if we run a quick SEC database search - we will find an old GRAYSCALE INVESTMENTS LLC’s Form S-1 filing from 2016 that mentions, quote:“ Grayscale LLC (formerly known as SecondMarket, Inc.)”(see pic).
