Anybody know if these are officially available in the UK for Sigenergy installs? widely used in Australia and available online but not it seems UK approved?

EAS changes around quals for employed persons starting Oct 26. Does this apply to a labourer who might just help with heavy lifting and grunt work but all the electrical work done by fully qualified persons? Labourer working under supervision and instruction?

At The Ivy in Bath and this creation is dessert. Quite a skill making these so consistent as a very popular option on the menu. Santa is a white chocolate mouse shell filled with ice cream on a mouse

Anybody know if this applies or will apply to the UK? Just Australia for now but given similar kit makes you wonder about the UK inverters?

Absolute bargain on midsummer for a reliable no frills easy to install string inverter. £99 for a 5kw. Used a lot of these with Givenergy gateways with no issues

Quite why you would need a 2nd optimiser if the first didnt work? Told his family rip it out before selling house. The solar isnt much better… he paid five figures for a 700w system in 2010!!

Prime example of what rogues do. Elderly customer now in care home. Was sold a poorly designed pv system then a barely functioning and dangerous battery system. On top of that 2 voltage optimisers. Fleeced the old guy. NWR well known for fraud and prosecuted.

Customer sent us this, not the panels we fitted thankfully but scaffold board from the loft conversion blew off in storm last week & pierced the neighbours panels, timber went through and cracked tiles below! Hope they all have insurance! Ouch!!

The joys of a larger meter Cabinet and how they should be left. Makes a change to find one as neat as this!

Some changes coming for those companies doing renewables - all persons not just QS must be qualified in each tech as per the electrician+ list of quals. It seems you cant sit them without a NVQ3/Gold card so not sure how it will impact people who havent sat courses going forward?

As good as Sigenergy is. Lifting the batteries high up to finish the 40kwh stack is not so fun when your assistant goes off on holiday!

Sodium Ion Battery storage - in particular Eleven based in Cambridge. Anybody got experience of these ? Suddenly getting enquiries for them being Sodium and less harmful to environment during manufacture than Lithium Ion.

These new MC4 connectors from Staubli are interesting, no crimping required.

How are people testing solar circuits when using microinverters? are you testing each panel individually or relying on the controllers data and giving an indicative result? seems there is no clear consensus. personally i think each panel should be tested.

Not sure why but all of a sudden seems to be a couple of local electrical companies all wrongly claiming to be ECA members on the vans and websites? quick search of ECA website confirms they are not members.

Commissioned a Sigenergy system Friday last week in Pewsham, Chippenham - 10*450w Astronergy panels on south east roof with 16.0kwh storage and gateway. Performing fantastic. Think the Sig app is arguably the best out there at present for presentation of data to users

Installing solar and looking at the house next door it annoys me when I see flexicon and dc wites through the gutter and over tiles rather than route it inside. The inverter and batteries in loft under the other panels in background. They could easily have run internally
