Just over 24 hours since the survey went live and we have already passed last year’s petition numbers with 380 responses. For context, LCC’s original consultation got only 58 responses. This just shows the difference you make when you actually make the effort to go out and speak.

Thank you @Light_Fndn for hosting such an important event tonight. A real reminder that listening and learning comes first. Refugees are people, not headlines.

Amazing effort this past weekend by the children, women & men who walked from Masjid-e-Aqsa in Preston to Hoghton Tower. Together they raised over £10,000! 👏. A brilliant community event that brought people together, promoted healthy walking and reminded us of the benefits of

A few weeks ago I said I would be looking closely at alcohol licences in St Matthew’s Ward. Today we secured a positive outcome 👏 . An alcohol licence application on New Hall Lane has been withdrawn after concerns about ASB & crime. I’ve been clear - We don’t need more.

UPDATE**.This has now been cleared. Huge thanks to @prestoncouncil for acting so quickly on this. Reported this morning - gone within a few hours 👏.
How inconsiderate do you have to be to let your dog foul outside someone’s driveway? . Dog owners need to take responsibility - don’t ruin it for the many who do clean up after their dogs. If you need to report dog fouling via Preston City Council, you can do it here:

Proud to have worked with my @prestonlabour colleagues to secure a new Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) for St Matthew’s and Fishwick. It will be coming into effect very soon and will tackle anti-social behaviour, keep the community safe and clean 👍🏽
