Points are a function of talent + role * percentage. Buium has a ton of talent and he's gonna play a huge role built for his game to succeed in. VAN will facilitate play through him as if he's Quinn. It won't be as effective, but it will lead to Buium having great success

Heard/seen some scattered critiques of the Michkov-Couturier-Tippett line recently, but their performance by underlying 5v5 metrics has been stellar. SOG share: 63.17% xG share: 67.70% They keep doing that, a goal-scoring breakthrough is coming.

Young skilled players get bullied. Some cry to the refs, some act like they are in a Soulslike hacking and slashing everything that looks at them sideways. 87 did the former, 39 does the later. 87 also did the later after he learned the former didn't work.

Well, these are cumulative and he played way more last year lol. He's significantly above the rates he hit these speeds last year.

His first couple of strides are one of his biggest strengths, which is why he's hitting these bursts as often as he is. His long speed is quite low, and definitely the more pressing skating concern. Once he gets to that speed, he's just there right now.
@SuitableAlias He needs to work at his first step and moving his feet. Really slow stopping and starting. Training properly this summer could work wonders

You know what’s funny? The knock on Michkov entering the draft was his character. But despite Tocchet reigniting a 6-month-old flame in every interview, talking about Michkov’s summer, the kid hasn’t made a fuss… like at all.

It would be hilarious if he came in with an 8 pack and elite skating speed and Tocchet still said he was fat 😂
@SuitableAlias Our only hope is that Michkov comes into camp next year looking like a Greek God with noticeably improved skating. Tocchet still probably won’t play him, but that will force Danny and Jones to fire Tocchet atleast
