I always wonder how that fan who threw the drink felt. That fleeting second of pride knowing that he beaned Scott Hall with his drink, before the realization that he just helped to make him look so much cooler.
The Bloodline stuff since Mania has moved along and is logical. But watch any segment and ask yourself:
Does Roman need the belt around his waist for this?
You know what we haven't had in a while? A big-ass stable. I'm talking massive numbers, 10+ people. There are 9 wrestlers and 4 managers in the ring in this clip. Planet Jarrett ran deeper than Wu-Tang.
Jesus, it's even worse than I thought. Roman buried Seth and the other belt 6 feet under. Then Cody came out and said he wanted Roman's belt. Then Cody stepped to the side for Dwayne.
A fucking shambles.
Sami couldn't win it because Cody had to end the reign.
Sami couldn't win it because a reign of this magnitude had to end at Wrestlemania.
What's the fucking spin now?
This man was ousted from the head position of a billion dollar company due to a sex scandal, then forced his way back in through a coup that involved replacing members of the board with stooges of his own choosing.
And we're laughing about a mustache.
Punk sat at that table and said that the Bucks and Omega never did anything in the business, despite the fact that they built the fucking company that allowed him to come back to wrestling. It's not just about the fight, he's got no respect for anyone in charge there.
NXT spent this first 15 minutes setting up a meme main event. AEW is doing a match with serious implications between two big time stars.
I don't understand how some of these people think.
It's hilarious that so many Americans think New Japan is just matches without stories when the Japanese scene is constantly making stars with basic, simple stories that can be told DURING the matches with moves.
Since winning the AEW World Title at Double or Nothing 2022, CM Punk has:
- wrestled 16 matches
- broken his foot
- torn his triceps twice
- fought multiple executives and wrestlers
- gotten fired from a company that did everything to try and not fire him
I think I've come to terms on the fact that I'm a full-on WWE hater. There was a point where I thought I would be happy if the product was better. But when they win, they make sure everyone else loses. So I don't want that company to do well. I don't want them to succeed or be…
I liked that. The Bucks didn't build up the footage as anything special, but it was a petty scrap that took their attention and focus away from their night. FTR had a good promo setting themselves up as company guys ready to move forward. And it sets up Perry coming in with the…
"Shoutout to Mauro, get yourself together, get back on the horse. Get your ass back to work, bro. Don’t let somebody stop you from doing what you do. That’s just word."
That's Booker's full quote.
Jade always had a ceiling in AEW because her in-ring work was never great. That ceiling/expectation isn't there in WWE. They think Dominik has upward potential, they'll watch anything.
I want everyone to take 2:12 to watch this match because it needs to be seen to be believed. Imagine the vitriol and the vigor in which so many outlets would tear this to shreds if a match half this bad were on AEW television.
I get it. It's tough. If only WWE had a multi-million dollar building where people they hire could improve behind the scenes. A Center where she can work on her Performance, if you will.
Ah well.
I really wish that some of you got booed and ridiculed in the public eye while being new at your job. Learning and getting better is all apart of being human. Be better as humans.
If Hausman made this stuff up to make Jericho look bad, it's unbelievably scummy and Jericho should sue him.
If Hausman didn't make this up, and is using possible crimes to score internet points instead of doing the reporting he claims to do, it's disgusting.
We had a good thing, you stupid son of a bitch! We had Khan. We had Collision. We had everything we needed, and it all ran like clockwork. You could've shut your mouth, wrestled, and made as much money as you ever needed. It was perfect. But, no, you just had to blow it up.
When Meltzer calls it a day, the wrestling media landscape is fucked. Granted, 70% of it dies immediately because it's mostly reposting Observer news, but the point still remains.
If you can't follow the stories being told by AEW right now, you aren't smart enough to follow professional wrestling stories.
That's fine. WWE is not pro wrestling, they'll tell you themselves. They do sports entertainment. That's what you want. That's the product for you.
@AEW
is in need of a complete reboot. The product needs to be character & story driven and not chasing 5* matches from

ROH should never run after a Dynamite taping. I don't care if the Universal set looks small scale, get in front of a crowd that is invested in ROH as opposed to a quiet AEW crowd sticking around after Dynamite.
I've been careful about saying it. But ever since Worlds End, AEW has built positive momentum every week. Things have peaked with these last two shows, and we have a red-hot PPV and major Dynamite to follow in the next six weeks.
The feeling is back. AEW is back.
The "Sasha might want to turn to acting" takes will age the same as the "Ambrose might not want to wrestle anymore" takes when he got out.
This woman went to train at a joshi dojo on her own dime while under WWE contract, she lives for pro wrestling.
This idea that WWE fans get pussy by the boatloads is hilarious to me. You people unironically call a tall Australian goth woman "Mami" and solve QR code puzzles to figure out when BO DALLAS is showing up to TV. And you think you're the cool ones???
A double standard:

TOMORROW on TBS
Punk telling people to touch grass a half hour after pulling a decade-old email about a beef he restarted due to information he attributed to the wrong party is just picture perfect.
One thing I think is overrated is the idea of AEW emboldening the haters. I don't think a tight two hour TV show with solid booking was ever going to get the freaks who harass Owen Hart's widow on your side.
AEW Dynamite, the best US wrestling show ever. No show has ever this level of wrestling FOR FREE. Add onto it the booking is good? Get outta here, no arguments.
#AEWDynamite
AEW isn't working (no growth-and in the TV biz, as Ive said many times before: If you are not growing, you're dying. If the financials are as ugly as I suspect they are, no growth + dismal financial performance = NEXT.

Hunter squeezing one last Mania main event out against a babyface no one liked, while making sure to look as cool as possible in the build. Genuinely pathetic, and a picture-perfect example of losing to someone without actually putting them over.
This Collision feels so much more connected to the AEW world now. We all know why, but it does feel like a supplemental show more than a show on an island.
I love whenever someone in AEW does a risky spot because it exposes a bunch of big ol' wimps who can't handle any possible danger in their pro wrestling.
Danielson/Moriarty is gonna rock on Dynamite. This is why the arguments against a big roster fall through. You can get fresh, good matches without burning money matches or running a ton of rematches.
K-Dogg insisting that the CMLL deal with AEW is bad as they work to a red hot, sold out crowd in Arena Mexico. He's not mad though, don't put it in the Observer that he's mad.
This AEW backstage stuff is just life, man. I hear people talking shit about each other at my job. You probably do too. Some people handle it more diplomatically than others. Now add the weirdness and the egos of pro wrestling into the mix.
Here's how this Wembley show discussion is gonna go.
> They sell 60k tickets, partly because of AEW, partly because of the novelty of Wembley
> Morons call it a failure
> People spend two days arguing about the take the morons made
> I get annoyed
A reminder that if Cody had won the title last year, Roman vs Rock could've been done no problem this year. But no, y'all just had to see YEET Man bomb at SummerSlam.
Because there is a cottage industry of people who have to make a living bashing AEW who won't do the same for a company with a possible culture of sexual misconduct.
Excited to hear people who shit on the concept of Forbidden Door and the general idea of wrestling outside of this country get excited for Giulia in NXT
Paul Leveque sticking his fingers in his ears, playing dumb, and "trying to focus on the positives" was an absolutely pathetic display for the figurehead of a multi-billion dollar company. A man who had no clue how to handle a situation anyone with a pulse would be prepared for.
Remember when WWE mocked WCW for piping in chants for Goldberg? They did that because WWE was hot enough to organically get the crowd to react to their stars.
Now they have their own workers defending the fact that WWE does it. It's not her fault though. It's just what they do.
Karrion Kross coming back to the WWE main roster and jumping into a program with Reigns and McIntyre is another example of WWE playing to their hardcore base. Yeah, I know what he did in NXT. But what about the casual fan? You have to wonder how WWE can grow with this mindset.
I hate that nothing can exist without WWE wanting in or wanting to kill it. It's not enough to have all the money and be the most known, they have to be all that exists. They are parasites to professional wrestling.
[Forbidden Door

AEW's Forbidden Door became the third-highest-earning event in Canada, trailing only Wrestlemania 6 (Hogan vs. Warrior) and Wrestlemania 18 (Hogan vs. Rock). With a revenue of $1.15 million USD, AEW's Forbidden Door event has already outperformed WWE's The…
I love CM Punk. He is unquestionably the biggest star in AEW. But he burned his own bridge here. No one even remembered the fucking workers rights comment that started all this, but he couldn't let it go. And now it's all gone to hell.
Here's Nick Hausman, reporting on Tama Tonga being removed from the official New Japan website. This ended up being a House of Torture bit on the New Japan website that simply went over his head.
Am I gonna owe him an apology for this too?
Including Tony Khan, who he was sat next to. He goes into business for himself on TV, nukes the guys who built the place in public, can't stay healthy, and half the locker room hates him. If they decide to cut bait, you can't argue it's without merit.
This whole Hausman thing is a shit show, done with no regards for the actual people that may have been affected. Telephone games and whispers instead of actual, actionable reporting. A fucking disgrace on all sides.
AEW has incredible momentum, major stars walking in on a weekly basis, and great shows every week.
But if WWE picked up the Hardy Boys, I really think that's a loss that could trip them up and cost them something.
The Observer reported that 25,000 people signed up just to get pre-sale codes for AEW in Wembley.
Put my name on it, bookmark it, whatever: The official on-sale date for Wembley is May 5th. By midnight on May 5th, AEW will have at least 60,000 tickets sold.
TNA did a nice little rebrand at the start of the year, got co-opted by WWE stans in the media as a "potential

Because if WWE had it their way, AEW wouldn't exist. They just spent half of Wrestlemania Week running a rollout on AEW, with Business Phil at the helm. I want the same thing they do, just the other way round.
W-H-A-T. Steph De Lander (FKA Persia Pirotta in NXT) says she wrestled in front of Ron DeSantis at the WWE Performance Center.
“We got called in on a Saturday that Ron DeSantis wanted to have a wrestling show for his kids.“
I've said it before, and I'll say it now: let it come out that Jericho did any of this and see how well that would go over.
The Heart Break Kid Phil Brooks.
Roman disappeared for 6 weeks, then came back and worked a tag title match at Night of Champions. He's not being a World Champion alongside this turmoil. It's like everyone else on Smackdown has just given up.
The Revolution match will be the magnum opus for the Bucks. It will be the Southern style tag that many people incorrectly assume they can't do, and a wonderful farewell to Sting.
Hunter had the world in his hands. The fans bought his "vision" of wrestling. Any competition was far in the rear view. All he had to do was wait for the old man to croak.
Then, a message board poster teamed up with some indie guys and sent everything to hell.
And the footage was nothing special. It was a scrap that's been mythologized about for the better part of a year. Punk lied about Perry getting in his face, which...doesn't shock me. Punk shoved a monitor onto who I assume is Khan and walked off with his friends.
The weirdest thing WWE has done is convince people that WWE does anything other than wrestling decently. The comedy isn't funny, the storytelling is atrocious. There's nothing about WWE that literally any other medium doesn't do exponentially better, including the wrestling.
