Thank to everyone who has helped me on this journey, inspired by the loss of my beloved niece Alison Phelan and the courage and determination of her parents, my sister Julie and Gary in establishing Ali's Dream to stop others suffering in the same way.

Lovely lunch after Mass today, weather amazing, delicious food and desserts supplied by parishioners. I was in charge of gammon, vegetarian quiches and the raffle which raised £175 of the overall £969 :-)

Retirement brings the opportunity to get on with projects that have been on the list for years. Last year we set to on reconfiguring the allotment and turning it into a more organised kitchen garden and are now enjoying the crops :-)

24 years ago today we launched Ali's Dream on what would have been Ali's eighth birthday, at her school. I bought her a card, she never had, it's framed and reminds me of her every day along with other photos, her little boots and the many memories etched on my heart.

Final event celebrating our 30th anniversary last night, recreating our 1920s wedding vibe with good friends, a sparkling reception, canapes, two course meal and speeches, transferring to the garden for cheese and drinks until 1am in the morning!.

Lovely morning and lunch with Justin at Ascott House and Gardens for the CLA AGM. The gardens are stunnning. Interesting that like our Church garden they too are suffering with the destruction caused by Box Tree caterpillars.

Sadly we said goodbye to Mum and Dad's cat Whiskey today - he lived to the ripe old age of 19! When we lost Mum in 2022 and Dad moved into town, Whiskey stayed at the farm with us. He was a character including getting in the landrover with our caretaker to collect the bins. RIP

30th wedding anniversary celebrations started last weekend with a special get together with Justin's brother Jonathan and family over from Athens to be with Ariadne in Nottingham where she is at University.

Expect to hear lots in June with the anniversaries of the loss of my darling mummy and my beloved niece Ali as well as her birthday, my birthday and our 30th wedding anniversary. We have lots planned to celebrate this occasion which I will be sharing.
