Not too bothered about pre-season results but am concerned we’re going into a busy season with only one recognised striker in the whole squad. He may get injured or not even adapt to the PL, then what? Run makeshift Havertz into the ground for another season? Sign Watkins!

Why is everyone going on about a left winger? We have half a dozen options there already. We required 2 extra centre forwards before Havertz got injured. Goals win games, we have only one natural goalscorer in the whole squad and he is unproven in the PL.

Harsh red but Van Persie knew he was offside and you can tell by the way he took his shot. Unprofessional knowing the rules at the time. It’s not a personal thing with Van Persie as I made him right to leave the club at the time along with Fabregas.
