⚠️ Not all bone overuse injuries are stress fractures: it is time for updated terminology‼️NEW #Editorial. 1️⃣ Should be referred to as "bone stress injuries" #BSI.2️⃣ Return to play may be affected by grade of injury 🏃‍♀️.3️⃣ BSI location is important 🤔. 👉

#gripstrength & chair stand tests are recommended to identify probable #sarcopenia. Our Excel-based calculator let's you retrieve centile curves, percentiles, and z- & t-scores. How is your/your patient's performance relative to sex & age expectations?

Physical therapists have an important role in identifying with #sarcopenia. In this work, @StuartJWarden and colleagues generated centile curves to characterize patterns of change in muscle strength indicative of probable sarcopenia. Read more:

Ran my 4th marathon today. New York is tough. Not a PR, but pretty happy with the time considering I only started running 3 years ago at age 43 yrs.

High-resolution peripheral quantitative computed tomography (HR-pQCT) outcomes are difficult to interpret. We have released our Excel-based normative data calculators which calculate z- and t-scores, and plot outcomes on centile curves.

Latest pub: distal radius in the racquet arm of collegiate-level tennis players is 18.7% stronger to a fall on the outstretched arm than the contralateral non-racquet arm. Do we need to play tennis with a racquet in each arm to prevent Colles #'s?. LOL.
