The final workshop in this initiative closed with commitments to expand simulation training, strengthen frameworks for national-local cooperation & share Amman's model with other #Jordanian municipalities, fostering a culture of #resilience & improvement in #cityledresponse. 6/7

Post-simulation reflections brought together municipal & national teams who shared challenges faced while navigating crisis scenarios. Discussions highlighted inter-agency coordination as well as opportunities to strengthen recovery protocols & institutional frameworks. 5/8

@GAMtweets teams & relevant national entities, including the National Crisis Centre & Public Security Directorate, worked together through immersive crisis simulations. Officials applied the guide in real-world scenarios, strengthening national-local cooperation. 4/8.

Building on @Strong_Cities' City-Led Response Guide, the Hub & @GAMtweets co-developed a tailored crisis management framework through intensive consultations. Municipal teams from strategic planning, operations & comms shaped protocols that reflect #Amman's unique needs. 3/8.

The initiative brought together #Ammani officials from emergency response, public health & social services to explore #crisismanagement frameworks, multi-actor collaboration & community engagement strategies. 2/8

.@Strong_Cities #MENARegionalHub partnered with the Municipality of #Amman @GAMtweets 🇯🇴 to strengthen its crisis preparedness through an innovative city-led response initiative, recognising cities' critical role in managing complex emergencies, from climate to social unrest. ⤵️
