In 1968 China condemned the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia as “imperialism” and “fascism”, pouring scorn on Moscow’s claims to respect CZ territorial integrity. In 2022 Vladimir Putin is an imperialist, & Xi’s China does not care https://t.co/Zt7MzT7PuH

The S.C. Department of Corrections just released this photo showing the renovated Capital Punishment Facility as seen from the witness room. The firing squad chair is on the left. The covered chair is the electric chair, which doesn't move. https://t.co/wj0GP0pyKV

Hard to explain to outsiders how exceptional it is for foreign business leaders to be this candid and brave, when describing what they see on the ground in China. «China's Leadership Is Prisoner of Its Own Narrative»

Cedric Morris made several trips to Cornwall after WW2. He had lived there in 1919 on the advice of Alfred Munnings. This picture from 1947 with its complex geometric centre, looks towards Newlyn harbour and demonstrates his skill as a draughtsman and colourist.

Perhaps it’s time the royals stopped trying to make the Commonwealth all about them. They didn’t create it, they don’t lead it and more than 90% of its citizens don’t have the Queen as their head of state. https://t.co/SfZefyf0YO

Happy St. George's Day. There are many places rumoured to be the place he fought the ferocious, fire-breathing dragon. One being Dragon Hill in Oxfordshire. Thanks to your support we can continue to care for legendary places just like this.
