So you have to make choices in Dino Crisis about how to proceed? I wonder if these change events/endings or if they are just different paths through the game. I'm fine with either. But whichever it is, this adds some replay value, and I'm all about that.

I'm playing this on PS5 and I think it looks fine on a 4K screen, but I've been wondering if I should look into hooking my modern systems up to my CRT too, just for old games. Seems like a lot of hassle but it might be possible to streamline the process.

This is my first time playing Dino Crisis, and I always assumed it used pre-rendered environments like Resident Evil 1-3. Interesting that they embraced the low-poly 3D of the PS1 to allow for dynamic camera movement rather than higher graphical detail. I like it.

I know people would be mad, but I'd love it if Square Enix would port DQ VIII, in its PS2 form, to modern systems. In fact, please bundle emulated versions of the originals with all remakes.

Today, fate caught up with me and hurt my ankle real bad 😕. Off work to rest (since my job is almost entirely on my feet all day). Feels like the time is right to pick up Dino Crisis tonight or maybe Shining Force on the Game Gear.

So I eventually beat those damn lasers (and Quick Man). Now I've found a place to grind lives but the drop rate is really low, so I'll have to do this another time.

I'm frequently still in awe of Super Mario Bros 3. I think very few Mario games have managed to recapture the same feeling for me. But it has happened a handful of times. Mario 64 Mario Galaxy Mario 3D World These come close.

I'm going to settle this once and for all. Best sound - PS1 Best sequence - Saturn Most variety - Gamecube I'm sure nobody will ever use this exact engagement bait ever again.

There are some oddly specific ways to write incredible music. For example, - write a theme song in the 80s or 90s - write music for a JRPG There may be others, but these two are definitely far too consistently good to be mere chance. This is likely a law of the Universe.

At last! I'd given up hope. Turns out they just announced it way too early. I'm hoping for an early 2026 release because I might have a little money to spare by then, lol.

Zell, he's not the quickest despite being pretty knowledgeable. But I like how Rinoa slowly brings Zell, step by step, to a realisation without dunking on him for being dumb. It's still a funny scene but shows Zell's good qualities without making him feel bad for being slow.
