All the hate and pain of the last few days and this is what my people do to respond. Thousands of members took days off work to respond to a flood in a small community. Call us what you want, but this is what true Christians do

If you're to dumb to understand the imperfections/contradictions of the Bible, please don't try to quote it to me to attack my faith.

Thus ends one of the greatest family vacations we've ever had. Didn't think 35+ hours in the car over 5 days would be so fun. I love my family

The central unit of God's plan is family. Throughout the Bible you can see this. Any philosophy, religion, podcast, etc that tells you to put self above family is of the enemy. One of Christ's last acts in mortality was to see to his mother's care. We should do no less

Today is a day of trains, electric scooters, basketball, and the Alamo...and more ridiculous giggles

Your mom jokes are the best when with family. Just heard in the car: Wife: that's a really small roundabout Childs response: your mom's a small roundabout Then uncontrolled giggling for several minutes. I love my family.

Movie night in the hotel room with my favorite people. A great way to end an otherwise emotionally trying day. I love that the family can be happy anywhere, just being together, laughing, teasing, and snuggling.

I just realized that next year all my kids will be temple aged. Our travels will then be able to include doing work in temples wherever we go. That is so exciting!

2 things that make me feel stronger than I am. 1) being challenged to some feat of strength by my kids (can't disappoint their vision of me as superman) 2) pushing a car by myself through an intersection

I am so happy right now. I love my growing family. Honestly I could get fored tomorrow and I don't think it would bring me down

If we were better, posts about missionaries, callings, or little wins in our personal struggles would get more traction than anything about sports or politics. I'm going to commit to getting at least a 50/50 ratio on any given day of interactions on positive vs negative. Join me!

The trap of social media that we as saints continue to fall into (me included) is that we interact more on the negative side. Whether politics, sports, religion, whatever. We like, comment, & share much more on the negative and controversial.

God can heal our hearts, he knows the whole design. When we can't see where the pieces fit, or can't believe they could be put back together correctly. God knows where each goes, if we trust & follow him, he assemble them, making a design even more beautiful than it was to begin

Regardless of the craziness in the world, go to church, love God, love your neighbor, and take care of your familes. God is good, he will direct you to the people and work that need you.

All right @utahjazz I'm taking 3 of my kids to their first NBA game when you play in San Antonio. Please help me make the kids Jazz fans for life by not resting the best players. I know we want a draft pick, but we also need to get the next gen of fans hooked on Jazz Nation

Needless to say, we had one more add to our saftey and responsibility list for owning a pocket knife. But I told her I was glad she cared about all her friends being safe with knives as well.

I was called in to see the staff, and they told me my sweet daughter had brought her knife to school. They said the good news was she had decided the rest of the class also needed lessons on how to safely open and close a knife. The bad news was she did this during recess. 🧵

When she got it, we took a while and practiced opening and closing it safely, talked about how to hand it to others when open, why we don't leave it open and walk away, etc. All the saftey things I thought we necessary. The next day, I got a call from the school 🧵

I was reminded today about last year when my 10yo very seriously pulled me aside and said we needed to talk. She explained that she was the only child in the family that didn't have a pocket knife of her own. So of course I got her a nice Buck 3 blade knife. 🧵

I really like being a parent. Ignore what movies, TV, and social media says, it's easily 95% upside. There are some hard days, but even in hard days there's so much to love. Pro tip: have a bunch so if one is bugging you you can just switch favorites🤣🤣
