For 24 days people have been at City Hall protesting how City contractor Rapid Response routinely takes winter gear from the homeless. Now Rapid Response is set this Thursday to end the 24/7 vigil by taking away banners, protest signs, the signatures gathered, and free speech

It was massive cuts to federal affordable housing programs, part of the Reagan Revolution. By 1983, affordable housing funding had basically bottomed out.

With this City gearing up to make the lives of the homeless more miserable I thought I’d share a photo showing how I live outside. Right! It doesn’t look that miserable. I’ve worked hard to improve my place inside and out. Now in your name the City is poised to ruin my life.

A Gresham “outreach worker” lied to the cops about a homeless man in order to get them to make him move, the cops showed up and TAZED him until he ended up in the hospital. The store owner’s Facebook account shows that he is clearly a cherished community member.. #StopTheSweeps
