Some of this morningās frosty fungi at the cressbeds. The gorgeous lil cyphelloid Calyptella campanula (2) was new to me. Cobalt Crust is spreading nicely on its single piece of chestnut paling. Scarlet Elfcaps are out early in large numbers on cut willow from 2 years ago #fungi

A new one for me - Phleogena faginea. In years gone by I would have spent hrs stuck in my book of slime moulds, so must be getting better at this game. Actually itās fungal - a tiny puffball. Super simple basidia, thick-walled pores, scattered clamps, nice curlicues #fungi
