Hello everyone! Long time no see! Quick update on the Stoic side: 1. We've been updating Stoic over the last few weeks to make it safer and more future proof. Sorry for any issues you may have experienced. If you still have issues, hard refresh (Ctrl-Shift-R or Cmd-Shift-R).

If Stoic isn't working in your application anymore, have the app devs do this: npm uninstall ic-stoic-identity npm install ic-stoic-identity@6.0.0 You just need to get the latest and greatest Stoic Identity version and it will fix all of your problems.

If you are a dev with questions, please DM @BobBodily and he can assist with the implementation. If you are a user with problems, please DM @BobBodily and he can help you get Stoic up and running.

3. Users will need to enable pop-ups for Stoic auth to work. This is kind of annoying, but the benefit is you don’t need a browser extension for it to work, it works on any browser, and it works across any device (desktop / tablet / mobile) without any native apps.

2. Old Stoic users on mobile may need to go to https://t.co/yt5oxNlqlc and clear their browser “Cookies, Site Data” and their “Cached Images and Files” in order to get the new Stoic version.

A few things to note: 1. Old Stoic users on computer may need to go to https://t.co/yt5oxNkSvE and hard refresh to get the latest Stoic wallet code. This is Ctrl-Shift-R on Windows, or Cmd-Shift-R on Mac.

This version replaces local storage with a pop-up instead. This gets around all of the experimental storage issues users have been experiencing over the last 6 months.

If you are building an app on ICP and your users have been having issues with Stoic Wallet: npm uninstall ic-stoic-identity npm install ic-stoic-identity@6.0.0 This is all you need to upgrade to the latest version. Super easy. Super fast.

4. Stoic already supports ICRC. Just click the "+", enter the token ledger canister ID, choose ICRC, and your ICRC tokens are supported natively in Stoic. So don't be afraid to send your $BOB and $BURN to Stoic.

3. Stoic Wallet will soon support ICP wallet standards. We think it makes a lot of sense to have wallet standards, and we think building around standards is better for the ecosystem. (this makes the Stoic Identity Kit integration nicer as well)

2. Stoic is not going anywhere! We are improving the way Stoic communicates in the browser, so application developers will soon need to upgrade their Stoic implementations in their applications. We'll send instructions out when we have everything ready, but it should be simple.
