Buckets and spades are fun but stay safe too! 🏖️ Deep holes/tunnels can collapse & cause serious injury. • No tunnels • Keep holes shallow • Fill them before you leave • Avoid digging near the water In an emergency, call 999 & ask for the Coastguard. #BeachSafety #Sand

Dates for your diary! Friday the 5th & Saturday the 6th of September is when The Lizard Sea Shanty Festival takes place and everyone is invited! A 2 day event held in aid of The Lizard RNLI Lifeboat Station, The Lizard Community Group and Landewednack Primary School.

- full info provided at registration - race and safety briefing 15 mins before the start of each event - each race starts on the road outside of the fishermen's lodges - each race runs from the start line, with swimmers returning through the water to the slipway

- you can still enter on the day - registration is open from 3pm and closes around 30-45 mins before the start of each event (start times: Junior 6:30pm Novice 7:00pm and Main 7:30pm) - registration desk location: next to the harbour slipway in the fisherman’s lodges
