Southern Cross Police conducted a drug search warrant today. Over half a kilogram of packaged cannabis was seized along with two cannabis plants. A 45 year old male from Southern Cross has been charged with a number of drug related offences. #FB

Update: The missing tanks have been located as result of information received via Crime Stoppers. The tanks were found not to be stolen, there was a mistaken belief of ownership! All parties connected to the removal of the tanks were acting lawfully. Thanks for your help #FB

On 07/02/2025 Southern Cross Police stopped a road train along with the 29 Year old driver on the Great Eastern Hwy. He tested positive to methylamphetamine & cannabis. Drugs were also located in the truck. Police will continue to target drug drivers. #FB #SX

Yesterday afternoon a light plane crashed in dense scrubland 24km east of Southern Cross due to a suspected mechanical failure. Emergency services, guided by the rescue jet were able to locate & access the crash site. The 75 yo pilot was uninjured. #FB #SXPol

On 18/04/2023 a 17 y/o driver refused to stop for road works on Gt Eastern Hwy, Ghooli and struck a road worker with his vehicle. The driver was arrested near Coolgardie and charged with several driving offences. Fortunately the road worker was not seriously injured. #FB #SXPol
