Rain this morning will mix with snow then turn to all snow as the temperatures continue to fall. Roads will likely stay wet, but grassy and elevated surface could turn white. Unless we get a good burst of heavy snow, anything over .50" will be difficult...but not impossible.

Rain develops tonight into tomorrow morning with temps near 40 degrees by 7am, then falling. Rain mixing with snow and then ending as light snow for some. Light accumulations are possible mainly along and north of I-85 on elevated surfaces. Were talking a trace to a half inch.

Good morning! Most of the showers last night and this morning have been north and west of I-85. Still a chance for a few showers today, otherwise mostly cloudy, warm and breezy. Turning colder tomorrow with a brisk afternoon breeze, then a little milder Tuesday & Wednesday.

Cloudy and warm near 70 degrees today. Some showers overnight, mainly north and west of the Triangle, then a risk for an isolated severe storm tomorrow evening. Could see rain and wind for the Panthers playoff game so weather might be a factor. Clearing and brisk Sunday.

Little cooler today but still warm for this time of the year. Warmer next two days with record highs possible. Best rain chance will be after sunset Saturday, although some spotty showers could happen Friday and during the day Saturday, mainly N&W of the Triangle. Cooler Sunday.

Good morning! A near normal day today with highs in the low 50s. Feeling like Spring this week as highs reach the 60s and possible 70 for a couple days! A timing discrepancy for the next rain chance...likely sometime on Saturday, then turning cooler by Sunday. Have a great day!

Cloudy, cold and wet today with some light showers. Better and brighter tomorrow, then a taste of Spring as we see well above average highs next week, despite the increased cloud cover. Big game in Tampa for the Panthers today, weather might play a roll with a risk for rain.

Highs near 50 today, but we get warmer overnight and we're flirting with 60 by sunrise! An Arctic front blasts in tomorrow with gusty winds and a few showers, then turning colder. Lots of cities could have delays with active winter weather. NYE looking quiet and cold around 12am.

Highs today were in the low 70s and we could do that again tomorrow! Big drop on Friday with cloudy skies then right back to near 70 on Saturday! The roller coaster temps continue until Tuesday when we see colder air in the 40s. Quiet to ring in the new year but it will be cold!

A wet start today and mild...the Arctic air will be delayed behind the front but it is coming! By the evening we see single digit wind chills and the actual low overnight in the teens! If we get to 15 at RDU, it's been 1082 days since we were that cold! Warmer starting Tuesday.

Dangerous fog in spot this morning...even some freezing fog! An Arctic front arrives tomorrow and it has enough moisture to bring some light rain that changes to snow. Maybe up to and inch north of the Triangle...confidence is rather low on amounts so that likely will change.
