Jersey club/baltimore/hyperpop/footwork/trap/reggaeton/baile funk/afropop/amapiano & many more underground styles have penetrated the mainstream & changed the face of music worldwide. Even pop acts use these styles, I would regard it as a big cultural shift music wise.
Between the 1950s and 1970s there was a huge cultural shift in music, fashion, art, attitudes, etc. Between the 1960s and 1980s also a huge cultural shift and big differences. BUT, consider 2005 to 2025. There hasn’t been a shift. Nothing has really changed culturally. We are.

Enjoyed my weekly dj sessions this summer at the Fifth Quarter. Paul st looking much better with the seating outside & with more traders inside (more to come inc food court); hopefully new tenants too in former collins bookshop & the pub now vacant too (linen weaver). #potential
