Starting Sept 23, all Brockton Council Meetings will include the national anthem. This simple addition toour meetings is a meaningful gesture, showing unity, pride and patriotism as Canadians. I look forward to local choirs and bands joining us on occasion to lead O Canada 🇨🇦

A little bit of everything on last night! From wing night in Elmwood, to the Organ Concert at Sacred Heart, then the WDCS commencement and finally Golftoberfest at the Birdie Barn, it’s been another great evening enjoying what makes @Mun_Brockton a place to be grateful for.

Picked up a Roast Beef Dinner from the Walkerton Agricultural Society tonight and it did not disappoint! 🍽️ Great to see a long line of cars picking up their meals to support the ag society, and big thanks to all the volunteers who made it happen 👏

A year ago today, I was honoured to be appointed to @Mun_Brockton Council. From major announcements and motions passed, to nearly 100 events with the community, it’s been a positive, rewarding and sometimes challenging experience but one I’m incredibly grateful for. #Brockton

Joined community members to observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Appreciated the words of Councillor Miptoon from Nawash, “we are strangers only once…let’s walk together” Thank you Councillor McLean for organizing this as a means to learn, listen and reflect.

Ham and Scalloped Potato Supper round 2, this time at the South Kinloss Presbyterian Church. This delicious home cooked meal and dessert was only $15! Nothing beats a church supper.

Thought provoking and motivational discussions at our Friends of the Orphans board retreat. Grateful for the leadership of our chair Carmine Nigro who brought this high impact event together, emboldening the board to plan our future and refine our vision, culture, and structure.

Lots of entertainment this afternoon in Elmwood at the Anything BUT a Bat and Glove Baseball Tournament in memory of Troy Gateman and Tim MacKay. Creativity was on full display with the pilons, shovels, stop signs, baskets and more.

Pleased to attend Saugeen Hospice’s AGM this evening. The reality of compassionate end of life care here in Brockton is within reach - more than $7 of the $10M goal has been raised to date. Thanks to everyone from across southern Bruce Grey who have made this possible! 👏

Picked up a delicious chicken barbecue tonight in support of St. Thomas' Anglican Church in Walkerton. Thank you to the parish volunteers for organizing this annual fundraiser, the first of many local Fall suppers coming up!🍗🍂

Started the day off at a special CDCF brunch, in honour of Grandparents Day and everyone’s favourite “Cargill Handsome” the late Brian “Dutchie” Raper Great work by Pennie and all volunteers on a delicious meal - including the famous Dutchie milkshakes - and a successful event!

Two great community events in support of Saugeen Hospice this weekend! Saturday’s 4th Brad Wilken Memorial Poker Run 🏍️ ♣️ in Cargill, and the Pedal for Hospice 🚲 in Walkerton on Sunday saw many folks out in support of this cause! Well done by all volunteers + supporters 👏

Checked out the Bruce County Plowing Match this afternoon hosted at Rhinedale Farms on the 4th of Culross. Thanks to the Plowmen's Association for organizing! Plans are well underway for next year when Brockton and Bruce County will host the IPM and Rural Expo 2026!
