Here's a link to the completed film https://t.co/ZijMllime3
https://t.co/SvBeNH3phX Lazy Laurie's a great character, with a foot in childhood & adulthood. Alcott sent him on a rollercoaster of emotions. He partakes in his favorite pastime, teasing Amy, and in return is given quite the rouser! Filmed at @chiuni Costumes @GladragsCostume

And once Reynard had made his exit, a little wood mouse came out to see what was going on.

I double as crowd control, and politely ask Chichester University's resident fox to vacate the film set. It was quite reluctant to move.

Then the fox appeared. After wandering around, it settled to demolish the remains of a dead pigeon (peregrine kill?) just behind the actors and had to be shooed off to continue filming.

First up, the wasps. Shooting only a few feet from a nest, Wilfrid (playing Laurie) was stung on the leg but manfully continued acting. Little Women's Amy was a White Anglo-Saxon Protestant, after all. Poor Laurie, stung in two ways.

I took some stills during this student film shoot in the garden at Chichester University's Bishop Otter Campus - and sometimes the actors were upstaged by wildlife...π§΅
Had an amazing time filming Louisa May Alcott's βLittle Women: Lazy Laurieβ. Many thanks to Katie Lifton, Kieran Anderson, Natha Monk, Alwyn Watson, Katya Dunmer-Elcock & @GladragsCostume. It was so great working with you all! What a brilliant way to round off the summer!

There's one reason I will be sorry if I finally decide to leave ex-Twitter. A follow from @GretaThunberg was an honour I guess I earned by being one of her early followers.

Dunno how they train the AI that chooses bot names. This Modesta girl hasn't posted anything yet. Maybe she's embarrassed.

Climate Change: It's real. It's us. It's serious - and already dangerous. But there are solutions. The science is clear: the faster we cut emissions, the less suffering we will cause, and the better off we'll all be.

Bluesky is definitely a kinder place.. However, having weighed everything up I've decided to continue posting here, too Unfortunately it's a challenge to be seen these days. So, if you see this, please may I ask you to repost, so I can re-find my tribe? Thank you! π

I'm mostly over at BlueSky these days - there seems to have been a mass exodus there of people in my ex-Twitter bubble. Sadly, this once great site hasn't been such a nice place since Me Sunk Lo broke it. I'll still monitor this account from time to time, for a while.

A few years ago I recorded my grandfather WHL Watson's WW1 memoir A Company of Tanks as an audiobook. He died in the 1930s so I was never able to meet him, but have got to know him through this and other written work, including his earlier memoir Adventures of a Despatch Rider.

An interesting article that complements our #Swift-friendly #Lewes aims. "Conservation efforts must be intensified to create sustainable environments where insects can thrive."
